Your German Shepherd will not accept your Alpha dog position docilely. He will constantly try to find weaknesses in your leadership and will try to become the Beta dog.

If there are other dogs in the household, the German Shepherd will make every attempt to be the dominant dog among them. You should be observant of such behavior and be ready to deal with it.

Your other dogs might become stressed by the dominating behavior of the German Shepherd. But the inclination to dominate is an instinctive behavior for him.

In view of this, it would be better that you do not have, in addition to the German Shepherd ,other breeds of dogs in your house that are similar to the German Shepherd in ferocity. This will only create a lot of unpleasant strife for dominance among them
